Being a teacher isn't what I do, it's who I am! Just like the teacher who impacted my life, it is my goal to help each and every student reach their full potential! Like in every classroom, my class is full of students with different needs, abilities, and learning styles. Most of my students this year are visual learners! It is my job to make sure that each of those needs are met. One way to do this is to use a document camera to help my visual learners have a better understanding of directions, assignments, concepts, and so much more! We used our document camera hourly. I say used because it stopped working several months ago! In science, it allowed me to show my students examples and better explain assignments and labs. It allowed us to share the data we collected during experiments and create graphs to analyze the results. Our document camera allowed me to model math concepts using manipulatives like fraction bars, snap cubes, patterns blocks, and so much more! It allowed me to show students how to interact with the texts that they are reading by annotating! Not only do I get to help my students learn, they get to help each other learn by using the document camera to share their work with classmates.
