My technology lab houses 32 computers where I rotate 1st-5th grade classes through each day. These microphones will allow the students more options to support their classroom learning and open a world of additional technological skills needed for the 21st century. Communication is essential for students to be successful. These items will help me to differentiate for students when writing and typing are areas of weakness (academic, injury, disabled, etc). My students need microphones to communicate, narrate, create, and collaborate. Due to state budget cuts, our school has had to decrease its spending and there is nothing set aside for upgrading and enhancing the technology labs. My students work on desktops that do not include cameras or microphones. I would love to be able to have more options and help students that need more assistance.
