My students, ages 3-5, are always wanting to do art projects. These materials will help them be creative as well as using their fine motor skills. Many of my students like having something they can physically touch to help learn. The bean bags will help with gross motor skills when playing bean bag toss after they name the shape or color of their bean bag. "Look what I made" is what I get the privilege of hearing everyday. I love watching how excited they get when they make something new. Art is a wonderful way to help learn colors, shapes and sizes. With the constrution paper we will be able to make different projects to send home such as houses, robots and trees. With the craft sticks we will be able to build a house or a fence. All my students are from low income families. Many don't always have art supplies at home besides crayons. I want to be able to provide my students with different art supplies than what they normally have at home.
