My students will use the headphones purchased by this project with our Chromebooks to complete online lessons in reading, math, and science. The headphones we have now were inexpensive and have all broken, foam around earpieces have fallen off, and wires are exposed. Very few students can purchase and bring their own headphones from home. My class tries to complete i-ready and Newsela lessons each week, but it is nearly impossible without enough quality headphones for each student. Help my students increase their reading, math, and science skills through the use of technology by funding this project to purchase headphones. Use of headphones will increase listening comprehension and allow struggling readers to listen to stories that are above their reading level. Research shows that reading skills improve when students listen and read stories and articles. Please help me purchase headphones for my students who are predominantly on free and reduced lunch and unable to provide their own headphones.
