This project would also help in targeting all learning styles, to include my visual learners and those students who are ELL or ESL. Students with disabilities would be engaged and provided with the opportunity to learn in an environment that accommodates their needs. I would like to obtain a set of tablets for my classroom. We have two computer labs in the school, but many times, these computer labs are busy, leaving my students a week or two without access to them. It's not only inconvenient, but it affects the students who learn better through the use of technology. I also utilize these computers to reinforce lessons and allow them to engage in their learning. This all becomes impossible when we cannot use the computer rooms. Also, my students are limited to an average of 45 minutes a day on the computers, 3 times a week because we have to be scheduled for the computer room to be able to use it. When projects come up in our curriculum, it becomes difficult for my students to complete the lessons when we are so limited on the time. Sometimes, our Social Studies, ELA, and Science lessons require research and it becomes quite a dilemma. Obtaining these tablets would benefit all my students and would allow their learning to expand and make it more engaging.
