My students will use these tablets to learn basic reading and math skills. They will be able to play games, on their level, that teach them these basic concepts all while they think they are playing. Even though we do have other games in the classroom that teach these skills, students need to be taught in a variety of ways. Most children learn through technology these days. And this is something that I don't have a lot of in my classroom. We do have computers but they are old and often don't work. I'm hoping that my students will be able to practice their handwriting as well. They will be able to trace their letters and see exactly what the did wrong. Once they have a basic understanding of reading and math I will be able to take them to the next step just by downloading a new app!
