In our third grade classroom, we celebrate each other's differences, including our strengths and weaknesses. We come from different types of backgrounds, families, and socioeconomic situations. Some of us speak English, some speak Vietnamese, and some speak Spanish. Two-thirds of our class are general education students, and one-third of our class includes students with autism. The thing that unites my sweet bunch of students is a love of learning, which I believe is the goal of education - to make life-long learners. My third graders are some of the most genuine little humans, and I want to foster the down-to-earth, fun-loving, and caring spirit that permeates our classroom and gets us all excited to learn.
