Having stand up desks in the classrooms gives students the opportunity to continue working while not having to focus on sitting in a seat. With your help 2 students at a time will be able to be at the desks while doing independent or whole group work. Not only will they be able to stand, but they can move the swinging foot rest bar if they are feel anxious or need to move. First graders need to be up and moving or learning is nearly impossible! Imagine how difficult it is for a 6 year old to be in a chair the entire school day? Pretty difficult. Now imagine how much better it would be if they could stand and move while doing work even if it was just 40 minutes a day? They would love it and so would I! With your help we can make this possible!
