With the document camera I will be able to model and monitor the students while showing them how to solve math problems, read and annotate texts, display examples of desired outcomes, and allow the students to lead and model lessons. Teacher modeling is the key to learning. The easel will allow me to provide guided instruction in small groups. We will be able to build sentences and solve math problems together in small groups. Small group instruction has been proven as one of the best teaching methods for teachers and student success. In smaller groups I am able to track and monitor the students closely and adjust my lessons as needed. Having these two resources in my classroom will ensure that my students grow to increase their reading and math fluency. I can't wait to report back oh how much information my students have retained and applied to show mastery of 1st grade!!
