My students are at a variety of different levels and lucky we have use of chromebooks in our classrooms to allow for differentiated instruction. Whats missing? Good quality headphones are pricey and already we have gone through a variety of cheaper options. All of my students come in at different levels and I am currently using audio text, videos on youtube, interactive hyperdocs to support student growth. As a result of students different learning needs sometimes it becomes difficult for students to utilize scaffolds without headphones. Many of my students cannot afford headphones and they become nervous or ashamed that they need different supports than their peers. The use of headphones would make it possible for all students to access curriculum at their level. They are all great kids and want to do well. Access to headphones makes it possible for all students to use and benefit from scaffolds!
