Technology is the future of our world and we use iPads in our classroom everyday. We use an online literacy app called Lexia. Lexia has individualized engaging activities to help students improve their reading skills and love reading. It is a fun way for students to work at their own pace and level and reach the reading benchmark. We currently use 6 ipads for 29 students so it limits the time each student can be on Lexia. Having 2 more iPads in the classroom will increase the minutes each student will have on Lexia. The Apple TV will increase my engagement with my students. Instead of me standing in front of the class writing on the whiteboard, I'll be able to move around the room more easily as I teach. I'll be able to display students' ideas and work almost immediately on the projector by mirroring the iPad. Implementing use of the iPads and the Apple TV will open up so many possibilities of engaging and deepening each one of my students' learning to prepare them for success.
