All items being requested already have a set purpose. Markers, colored pencils, crayons, and pencils are for bringing my students thoughts to life. Because my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, the few school supplies they were able to bring in August are beginning to run out. Students should not have to compromise their education because of financial situations in their home life. I am requesting a substantial amount of laminate sheets because I create various engaging and personalized lessons that can be reused throughout my six classes of 150 students. Containers will be used for organizing their supplies, experiments, and labs. I strongly believe that in order to create innovative thinkers, we must first engage and engulf them in curiosity. Curiosity thrives when students are working on hands on activities.
