I teach about one hundred and forty students this year. Because my class sizes are so large, I have a wide spectrum of ability levels ranging from the second grade to college levels. To help meet the needs of my students, I have found that technology is super beneficial. Chromebooks have helped my students this year grow through the use of Google Classroom (where I can monitor their work and provide commentary), IXL (to help students grown in both their reading and language usage goals), and Collections (the textbook that we are using this year with interactive texts and activities). Due to lack of technology at my school, my students only use the Chromebooks once a week in language arts. I would like to be able to get a class set of Chromebooks to allow my students the access to technology to help them reach their full potential.
