Fidgets and other sensory materials will be used to create calming boxes in the classroom. Students suffering from anxiety, anger or other "big feelings" will have the opportunity to have tools in the classroom to help them immediately. Counseling books and games are used to accompany the guidance lessons. Students enjoy listening to a story, discussing it and ending with an activity to emphasize the lesson. Red Ribbon Material will be used during Drug Awareness Week. During this time, faculty and staff help emphasize the importance of saying "no" to drugs and other harmful substances. We make the event special, by decorating our campus; giving away prizes and having different daily activities.
