My second graders love to learn visually! We spend a lot of time on the carpet, learning together and practicing discussion techniques. My classroom is an inclusion class which means it is a mixture of special needs and general education students. During reading, writing, and math time our class splits up and some students learn in a small group while other students learn in a large group. Unfortunately, our classroom only has one easel and our small group students (consisting of mostly special education students) do not have an easel at this time. With a mobile easel, my special education students will be able to use their visual learning skills and comprehend learning objectives much more easily!
