My students are a very talented group of artists. They thrive on being creative. They are a diverse group of students in a poverty stricken area of South Carolina. At least 77% are on free or reduced lunches. The budget for my class is about $250.00 which barely buys coloring pencils, paper, and paints. Electives are limited in this school so the students are blessed to be offered art as an option.
