In my classroom I strive to create an environment that is comfortable and that will allow students to have the best learning experience possible. We have whole group time several times throughout the day. My students come sit on the floor in front of the smartboard at various times throughout the day. . We have hard tile floor, that is cold and uncomfortable. Students can't concentrate or do their best learning when they are uncomfortable. My Students need a rug to have a comfortable and colorful place to come for whole group time. If students don't have a comfortable place to come they will not get the full learning experience. We need a rug so that the students can focus on what we are learning, rather than the cold floor. The rug will be used on a daily basis and throughout the entire school day.
