LIGHTS, ACTION, CAMERA!!!! The Adventures of an ART Manikin... will bring life into original drawings, paintings and digital animated videos created by students in ART class! Children will visually interact with a wooden manikin learning about the human anatomy through the elements of art & design & technology:) GROUP INVOLVEMENT: Eight to nine groups of four students will take turns creating a gestural movement with their manikin. A quick 2 Dimensional sketch will capture the function of the hands, legs, arms, feet, etc. Eventually each drawing will be turned into a painting capturing the movement of a human figure. THE LIFE OF THE MANIKIN.... The Goal is to eventually Show Movement in Art with a "Green Screen" and "Stop Motion Animation" using ipads. Students will digitally layer an animation, demonstrating movement over the digital image of their physical paintings. Everyone has a role: one director, one photographer and two animators will complete the 3 dimensional art lesson titled: THE ADVENTURES OF AN ART MANIKIN!
