My students use Reflex Math and Read Naturally to build math fact fluency and reading fluency. Given the limited number of computers in our school, it is challenging to provide students with sufficient time to practice. Having another laptop will enable more students to access these programs to build their skills. These foundational skills (math fact fluency and reading fluency) are crucial for success with more complex math and reading comprehension. Additionally, state tests are now on the computer, and many students are not adept at using laptops, especially with test-taking skills. Having another laptop in the classroom will be a huge asset because I will be able to give more students the opportunity to use a laptop, learn how to navigate the internet and various interfaces, so they can be less overwhelmed and anxious during testing time.
