Our class is a special day class for students that are not able to fully participate in general education classrooms for a full school day. These students have physical and mental differences that sometimes cause difficulty accessing all of the "normal" parts of school. If a student is not able to learn reading, writing, or math skills in a mainstream class, they are sent to us. My staff and I shape our class interactions to encourage academic rigor while promoting cooperation, perseverance, curiosity, and kindness on a daily basis. This classroom is a both a place to learn and a place to play.
