Technology is constantly developing in today's world. Likewise, technology is becoming ever more present in the classroom. In recent years, technology has made a world of difference in the classroom and in the lives of students. Several of my students do not own a computer or have internet access at home, so hard copies work to their benefit. Therefore, in schools like mine that are poorer than others, we tend to get left behind with regards to technology, and my students are at a disadvantage. Working with technology is said to save paper. However, I have students with learning disabilities that benefit from having a hard copy in hand. Because our school is Title I, I am extremely limited in the number of copies I can have, so having a printer that can make those hard copies for my students would help them be successful in my class!
