GCCAS is a STEM school. Our kids are very enthusiastic about their learning experience; emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math skills. Despite their lower socio-economic backgrounds, many immigrants and/or refugees, qualifying for free or reduced lunch program, they are energetic to grasp every possible bit of knowledge available to them. For many of these kids, technology is only available at school. The eye of Hurricane Irma passed directly over our school; crushing technology. Being away from our internet and practice time really hit us hard. We are fortunate to have adaptive software that will meet them at their specific level of learning and grow with their ever-expanding knowledge. The use of this software reached a huge portion of our kids a year ago; driving up test scores. I am hoping to give them back their full technology/math experience.
