The chairs that I am requesting will be placed at tables, so I may place my students in collaborative groups. My students enjoy learning when they are learning within groups with their peers. I try to create a family within my classroom - allowing my students to freely work together to achieve success. Currently, we have traditional wood desks that are several years old. Placing my students at tables with chairs will be more conducive to learning. I have traveled to different places to glean knowledge and training to better prepare my students for the next level. I have learned that many schools have already moved from traditional desks to tables with chairs. I would like to move my classroom forward as well.
