Having these books in our classroom will allow all 50 of my students to have engaging independent reading books that actually interest them. Right now the options in our class library are very limited, which means that students either have to share books or get stuck with one that they either find boring, too hard, or too easy (which makes reading seem very un-fun). Having this collection of books—both individual novels and entire series—will provide us with the resources to ensure that all students can have a book that they like and that is appropriate to their individual reading level. The difference that having an engaging book makes is immense, and something that everyone who has gone through school can probably relate to; when you're reading something that you actually like, you work hard to figure out what every sentence is saying, you want to keep reading, and you really enjoy learning! Please help support the love of reading in Room 201.
