Children learn best when they can manipulate materials and the children who need extra help need these materials more than ever! Having just started an intervention program at my school, we are starting with a blank slate and an empty classroom. These materials such as Magnetic Word Builders will provide students with a variety of hands-on experiences as they learn about letters, sounds, and words in a supportive environment. They will help us to establish a library of materials to choose from to help reluctant and striving readers find the path to literacy! These sustainable materials will make a difference in the learning lives of children for years to come.
