Our library is shared by both the Middle School and Primary Center. I try to have exciting and challenging books for all the grade levels of students. My goal in this project is to add dyslexic friendly books to our existing books. I will mark the books with a colored dot so they are easily located by those who might really benefit from the dyslexic friendly font, but not mark the books as special or different from any other books available to our students. These dyslexic friendly font books will add wonderful new options for students who struggle to enjoy grade leveled books. Chapter books can be a challenge for the dyslexic reader and I look forward to offering them a selection of books with dyslexic friendly fonts. I hope to make readers out of resistant students.
