My freshman English students range from special education level to gifted and ALL of them need access to books! Many of my students lost everything in Harvey, including their home libraries. While we have a school library, being in close proximity to books every day encourages them to read more, especially when I can recommend great literature to them. Seeing students get excited about reading when they find that perfect book is such an amazing experience. Great readers become great writers and even better students. They are also likely to be more successful in all subjects. Please help me give my kids access to a wide range of literature!
