While spearheading the new drama elective (without any funding), we have discovered the high-impact and engagement of low poly (meaning low number of polygons) masks. The students cut out templates on card stock, bend, fold, and tape areas of polygons. Many of the masks have tabs, which we will use double sided tape and glue sticks for. I am personally purchasing the designs from Wintercroft and Etsy. Half masks take a short time; others take a week or more to create. Card stock, glue and tape will bind my students engineering skills into permanent memory; the masks will etch joy into their hearts of all who see them. The end results are beautiful masks that inspire creativity in plays, skits and life.
