We are creating a morning news show that will be recorded the day before and aired in classrooms at a time that is convenient for teachers. The green screen will create a realistic news environment. Using the green screen and tripod, will give students exposure to technology and news equipment. The news show will feature school announcements, weather, lunch, birthdays, spotlights which will feature a student, teacher or classroom doing something creative or engaging, and special report segments. Students will be in charge of writing a script, editing the script and video, reporting information and interviewing. The morning news show will require students to use multiple career-ready skills like collaboration, public speaking, writing, technology and professionalism. This opportunity covers a myriad of standards as well as exposing students to career opportunities in the media field.
