I chose to use Arduino Uno boards for this project because it is an open source hardware, software and content platform. It is great for making interactive projects. My makerspace class will have the opportunity to use these products to create interactive electrical projects that will take their learning to a whole new level. Using real-life tools such as electrical wiring, wire cutters and strippers and the soldering iron teach 21st-century electrical engineering skills. My students will have the opportunity to explore and understand how electricity affects their lives. They will also get to learn some techniques and tools used by electrical engineers. Electrical engineering is something that we couldn't live without.
