My photography students are culturally diverse group of juniors and seniors, excited to share their vision of the world through photography. Two months into the semester, I am witnessing true autonomy unfold. They collaborate well together and assist each other through problem solving solutions as they discuss test strips and ideal processing times. Their passion for photography has been ignited! Their faces beam with pride as they emerge from the darkroom to show masterful printing skills. Today, I held off introducing a new lesson because students were clamoring to develop their latest rolls of film and enlarge negatives to prints in the darkroom. A very motivated group. I am truly blessed!
