Using whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Giving my students a choice in where and how they learn allows them to feel empowered in their own learning. By providing students with yoga balls offers my students flexibility and choice in how they are going to complete their learning for the day. In order to meet their full learning potential my students would immensely benefit from learning about current events that are happening in the world around them. I can remember looking forward to getting Scholastic News, each month, when I was in school. It is still relevant today! My students and I will read each issue, cover to cover; discuss the information presented and share it in a meaningful manner. Unfortunately, most of them are unaware of important events that occur daily in their world. I want to enlighten them in a way that is fun and accessible.
