Many students I teach are from low income families that support their children the best they can. When my students come to school I want them to be able to just be seventh graders focusing on their education. My students work very hard on many new skills while learning about new topics. I want my students to have access to a variety of resources. I encourage my students to put forth effort and persevere. I love seeing their faces when they master a concept and skill. I create a class environment where I nurture them to be confident in their ability to growth their brain. As the confidence levels increase so then do the risks my students will take. I am teaching them to believe in themselves and always work hard. I want to lead by example and show the students what hard work can bring to their life. I am an encourager for my students so they will keep working hard no matter what.
