I teach Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Special Education at a school in Chicago. This upcoming school year will be my 5th year as a Special Education Teacher. My students are highly energetic and amazing learners who push beyond my expectations everyday! My students love to learn and grow. Each one of my students come into my classroom with different needs and learning styles. I am able to personalize each aspect of their day so they are able to learn the best that they can! Many of my students require alternate modes of learning, practice, and a variety of tools in order to achieve their goals each day. I am always thinking of new ways to help my students learn. It is important for teachers to stay updated and try new things! (Especially in the Special Education world...to see what is best for each & every student we have!) That is what I am hoping to do this next year with some new supplies!
