In our classroom, 20 bright and creative students love to work and read together. They are a varied group of learners with many different needs. However, these differences are what make our classroom such a successful learning space where everyone is a teacher and everyone is a leaner. I have found that student-centered, hands-on activities that allow the kids to collaborate are the most effective in our classroom. My students attend a low-income school in Haverhill, Massachusetts where 56.3% of student population come from economically disadvantaged homes and qualify for free and reduced-priced lunch. I love working alongside my students and realize just how deserving they are of a great education. I have so much confidence in my kind, hard-working students and am eager to aid them in any way possible to reach their full potential as students, leaders, and citizens.
