I'd like to focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) and Life Science. I want to start the year off with learning what is STEAM or inquiry-based learning is with an emphasis on the arts. We will use the Goldilocks & 3 Bears kit and the 3 Little Pigs kits to encourage students to not only ask questions but to come up with solutions. They will build houses that will not blow away and unbreakable beds. The second goal of this project is to have a performance based on the explorations of fairy tale literature and the study of living things- fish, hamsters and chicks.

About my class
