The dramatic play center in my classroom focuses on many different skills including language development, social skills, conflict resolution, and using their imagination! Children, now more than ever, need to use their imagination and creativity to learn foundational skills of learning! My plan for these materials is to create a pancake and waffle cafe in my dramatic play center. What child doesn't love pancakes and/or waffles? The waffle set will be used to build and serve waffles to our "customers". The pancake set can be served as well but also will focus on building language and following directions. My plan for the Teachers Pay Teachers gift card is to purchase the signage, menus, and other literacy pieces for the cafe! This will be a highly motivating center!
