The students in my classroom need frequent brain breaks and sensory tools to keep them focused and calm. They are unique, smart, and wonderful kiddos who deserve a chance to learn in their own way. Your donation will positively impact the everyday lives of my students and increase their ability to learn. I am lucky enough to begin this year in an ICT (Inclusive Co-Taught) classroom which contains both Special Education and General Education students. My co-teacher and I work hard everyday to make sure the needs of each one of our students are met. Many of our students are still learning how to manage their bodies and behaviors and learn in a formal school setting. Sensory tools help them regulate their behaviors and learn that they are not in trouble if they can not do what other students can do as a result of their disabilities. Supplying all students the option of using sensory tools is an essential component of early learning development and helps promote positive self coping behaviors. Thank you for giving my kindergartners the tools they need to succeed!
