Getting students to read isn't the easiest thing to do. I need to put the books in their hands. The book Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie has been a favorite of my past students year after year. I want them to be able to take the books home and share with their families, and to encourage independent reading. When we read in class, I love hearing them say "Please, one more chapter!" Having enough books will allow my students to read that next chapter on their own. It will help them to continue reading at their own pace, to review information and to truly find a love of reading! It will make them excited to read the sequel to Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie!

About my class
