My elementary art classroom is a place where children come together from all walks of life. In this one place we are developing so many important skills to help us become productive and creative citizens such as problem solving and creative thinking. It's an environment I try to create where students feel confident and hopeful. I teach roughly around 700+ students in the course of a school year. Many of my students come from below the poverty line to low middle class socio economic backgrounds. Many of the children who attend school at AES are very "needy" in terms of love and support. Considering all of this I try to provide my students with a warm, supportive, and loving place to come where they can really have a good time exploring the visual arts along with other disciplines.
