My students will benefit greatly from having the hear myself sound phones as it will help them to focus on reading on a whisper level. Kindergarten is the most important time to lay the foundation down for literacy. They are learning how to read quietly to themselves and to stay focused on the words in the book. Hurricane Harvey will not defeat these little readers from reaching their literacy goals. The hear myself sound phones would be a great tool for my students to help monitor their fluency and will help me to be able to listen to my reading groups in a quieter environment.
