Carpet time is very important for my students. It is a chance for them to share their thoughts and feelings. My students get so excited to tell me about their weekend and what they ate for dinner previous night and I love listening to their stories. However, sometimes our sharing time is cut short because the students cannot sit comfortably on our current carpet. I want to provide my students with a more comfortable place to read and share ideas with each other. Students in this community do not spend a lot of time reading. If this project gets funded, I can ensure that my students have more time and fun reading in their new cozy space.

About my class
