Some areas that my students struggle the most in are reading and writing. With the inability to purchase listening devices my students shy away from reading. They have a difficult time answering questions about a passage and are hesitant about raising their hand to ask for help. By having access to a set of 16 headphones in the classroom at all times, they will be able to listen to what is being said and pause it at their convenience. This will build their confidence with reading and comprehension. My hope is that the headphone will improve my student's desire to read and encourage them to read more often.
