Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. One of our classes in our school has piloted an active seating classroom. My students are crazy about this classroom and often ask if our room could be more like that. I believe my students would be more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers if they had a way to move without disrupting the learning of other students. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them a way to move without disrupting others which will make our learning environment more effective and appealing to students. These stationary bikes will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. The bikes are lightweight and can be easily be moved to many different areas of the classroom. I have seen how movement can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that these stationary bikes will help us.
