As of now, the 10 year old keyboards are small sized keyboards made out of low quality plastic. Many of the keys on the keyboards are broken or missing. With our current piano keyboards it is hard to teach quality piano lessons to my high school. To ensure the highest level of learning, my students need touch sensitive (weighted) keyboards that have all 88 keys that are standard on all pianos. The students also need keyboards that have pedals built that better simulate a real piano. The students are passionate about their piano skills and I want them to enjoy music for the rest of their lives. This will be my students last chance to experience piano lessons at a public high school. This means they need a quality education with high quality keyboards.
