My students require a variety of ways to learn. Reading is often the hardest subjects for alternative students. I would like to purchase flexible seating for my students to obtain a sense of comfort while they read. This in turn will allow them to remain engaged in his/her reading for longer periods of time. I also want to offer a library that is organized and sorted into levels and genres so I can properly service each of their needs through independent and guided reading practice. Another option I would love for my students to have is a listening station. This allows students to hear what proper reading sounds like. This will ultimately assist with their fluency and comprehension. My ultimate goal is to increase the reading level and stamina for my students. I believe the items I have requested will help assist my students in having a successful school year.
