Scholars must have the ability to move while learning. We are requesting and in need of flexible seating. This will allow scholars to learn and be creative in a traditional setting to create innovative thinking. Students will have the ability to write, think, and be creative sitting in various area. My students are very energetic. We have many students with special needs and often have the ability to work by sitting on yoga balls, kneeling, or using stability chairs. Moving helps many students focus. I would love to give my students the ability to experiences different work spaces each week in order to foster their learning and responsibility. I believe they will take more ownership of the work they are completing when they are given choices. Flexible seating like wobble chairs and cushions can also help students use their excess energy on staying balanced, or safely wiggling on a wobble stool.
