Harboring the growth of both English and Spanish is vital in my classroom. We have limited Spanish books on the level that my students need. Having the technology accessible in the classroom will make us able to readily access books online and through applications to build students’ reading in both languages. Both populations will use the Kindle fires to access books in a small group instructional setting to increase their reading levels. Your donations will allow students to use technologies that will enhance their ability to read, and allow them access to books not available to them otherwise. My students may not have access to these technologies at home because they come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. To be able to provide these experiences in the classroom for my students will make a difference in their learning and in their lives. It will boost their ability to read and teach them that learning is always accessible, not just at school.
