My students have learned how to use dictionaries and thesauruses in class. Unfortunately, the books we have access to are limited in the word banks they contain. I want my students to have access to the tools they need to improve as writers. Each student will get a notebook dictionary and thesaurus to use all year and keep at the end of the year. This will give them 24/7 access to the essential language tools needed to improve as writers. Students will be able to use the dictionaries in science, math, reading, writing, and social studies. I expect their writing craft to improve greatly over the course of the next several months and these books will helps tons.
