The materials that are donated will help my scholars read over 100,000 words for the school year. My current library does not have the books we need for students to be able to reach that goal. When students learn to read it is very important that we help them develop a love for reading. Students that do not love reading are less likely to pick up a book. We know that reading helps increase vocabulary and overall knowledge. My students all have one main goal and that is to make to and through college. What better way to help them than through reading.
